HOW CAN I GET TO YOUR PROPERTY?
Most guests drive with free parking available. Please note - ride shares (Uber/Lyft) do not accept requests from Krause Springs back into Austin so please make accommodations in advance for your return.
ARE YOU OPEN YEAR ROUND?
We are temporarily closed during the winter - usually between November 1st and February 15th - for property improvements and much needed rest.
We never close due to drought like other nearby natural pools.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?
Our office and gates open at 9am and close promptly at 8pm. Anyone who might arrive after closing will not be allowed to enter our property. This is for the safety of our guests staying overnight. If you call our office and no one answers, please leave a message or contact us through our Facebook page.
ADMISSION RATES
Effective 01/01/2023

WHEN DO YOU CLEAN THE POOL?
Our staff clean the upper pool every Thursday at 3pm allowing our guests to continue to enjoy the lower natural pool at all times.
HOW ARE YOUR WATER LEVELS?
The Springs that feed our pools flow constantly, year round at around 68°, even during times of extreme drought. After heavy rains, our pools and property drain very efficiently into Lake Travis. Both our manmade and natural pools have some of the cleanest natural Texas spring water flowing through it non-stop, so the water never becomes stagnant, and is swimmable year-round.
WHAT SHOULD WE BRING WITH US?
We only have a few rules which include No Glass Bottles, No Loud Music & No Pets. We recommend bringing:
- Cash preferred for admission. Credit cards accepted.
- Refreshments (non-glass containers)
- Snacks
- Water shoes or slip-proof shoes. (the ground and rocks get slick!)
- Floats or Intertubes (we have an air pump onsite)
- Sunscreen
- Camera (we love seeing your photos)
Please help us keep Krause Springs beautiful by discarding any trash in our barrels located throughout the property or by taking it with you when you leave.
ARE PETS ALLOWED AT THE SPRINGS?
We love our pets just as much as you do, but please keep them at home.
DO YOU HAVE REGULAR BATHROOM FACILITIES WITH SHOWERS?
Yes, we have bathroom facilities with sinks, stalls and showers. All showers use fresh spring water and are not heated.
ARE FIRES ALLOWED FOR COOKING?
We have BBQ pits in the day use area. You may also bring your own BBQ pit as long as it does not sit on the ground. You can bring your own firewood or purchase a bundle from our office.
IS THERE CURRENTLY A BURN BAN?
For current burn ban information visit: http://www.burnetcountytexas.org/default.aspx?name=environ.burn
DO YOU RENT TUBES? CAN WE BRING KAYAKS AND/OR BIKES?
No, we do not rent tubes. We recommend bringing your own tube or other floatation device. We have an air pump you can use to inflate your float.
You can bring small kayaks (SMALLER THAN 5 FEET) for the lower natural pool, it may be hard to maneuver larger ones during busy summer weekends. You can also bring a bike, but we do not have any formal bike trails nor paved roads on our property.
CAN WE FISH?
You can fish on the lower parts of our property where the springs drain into Little Cypress Creek, which drains into Lake Travis. No fishing in the pools.
