ARE YOU OPEN YEAR ROUND?
We will temporarily closed during the winter for 2 months (December 1st, 2017 through February 15th, 2018) for random property improvements and much needed rest. We typically stay open year round but this is our 4th year to temporarily close during the winter.
We never close due to drought or excessive rain/flooding like other nearby natural pools.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?
Our gates and office hours are currently 9AM – 8PM.
During the busy months, our office and gates open at 9am and close promptly at 9pm. Anyone who might arrive after 9pm will not be allowed to enter our property. This is for the safety of our guests staying overnight. If you call our office and no one answers, please leave a message or contact us through our Facebook page. During less busy times of the year, our office hours are 9am – 8pm.
DO YOU TAKE RESERVATIONS?
We take reservations for RV hookups ONLY. Primitive tent camping is available on “first come-first site” basis. Please call our office at (830) 693-4181, to check RV site availability and book your stay.
DO YOU HAVE ANY CAMPSITES AVAILABLE?
We always have room for tent campers, which is why we don’t take reservations.
CAN WE PARK NEAR OUR CAMPSITE?
Yes, campers are allowed to drive their cars to their campsites.
WHAT IS YOUR MAILING ADDRESS?

WHAT TYPES OF RV HOOK-UPS ARE AVAILABLE?
We have 24 sites with 30 and 50 amp hookups. Call our office at (830) 693-4181 for availability and reservations. We also have a dump station available (please bring at least a 15 ft. hose).
DO YOUR TENT SITES HAVE ANY ELECTRICAL OR WATER HOOK-UPS?
Electrical hookups are only available for RV spots. There are no generators allowed on our campgrounds. You may call and reserve an RV site for tent camping if you wish to have electricity and water, no RV required.
HOW ARE YOUR WATER LEVELS?
The Springs that feed our pools flow constantly, year round at around 68°, even during times of extreme drought. After heavy rains, our pools and property drain very efficiently into Lake Travis. Both our manmade and natural pools have some of the cleanest natural Texas spring water flowing through it non-stop, so the water never becomes stagnant, and is swimmable year-round.
ARE FIRES ALLOWED FOR COOKING?
We have BBQ pits (in the day use area) and burn barrels for camper use. You may bring your own BBQ pit as long as it does not sit on the ground. You can bring your own firewood or purchase a bundle from our office.
ARE BONFIRES ALLOWED ON CAMPGROUNDS?
All fires should be contained inside our burn barrel rings, which are available to rent for $10 ($5 refunded upon return).
IS THERE CURRENTLY A BURN BAN?
For current burn ban information visit: http://www.burnetcountytexas.org/default.aspx?name=environ.burn
DO YOU ALLOW OPEN CARRY?
Our springs are supposed to be a place of peace and relaxation, for that reason, we do not allow open carry of weapons on our property.
DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS?
At this time we do not accept credit cards. There is an ATM at the gas station right off of 71 when you turn on Spur 191.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
In the event that you made an RV reservation and paid a deposit, you must notify us of any cancellation at least 1 week before your reservation date in order to get your deposit back. If your reservation falls on a holiday or holiday weekend (Memorial Day, July 4th or Labor Day), you must notify us at least 2 weeks before the reservation date to receive a refund.
If you made a reservation for an event at the springs, you must give us a 2 week notice in order to get your deposit back.
*Refunds may take up to 30 days to be delivered.
WHAT SHOULD WE BRING WITH US?
We only have a few rules which include No Glass Bottles, No Loud Music & No Pets. We recommend bringing:
- Cash to get in
- Refreshments (non-glass containers)*
- Water shoes or slip-proof shoes. The ground and rocks get slick!
- Floats or Intertubes (we have an air pump)
- Camera (we love seeing your photos)
* – Please help us keep Krause Springs beautiful by discarding any trash in our barrels located throughout the property, or taking it out with you when you leave.
ARE PETS ALLOWED AT THE SPRINGS?
We love our pets just as much as you do, but please keep them at home.
DO YOU HAVE REGULAR BATHROOM FACILITIES WITH SHOWERS?
Yes, we have bathroom facilities with sinks, stalls and showers. The showers use the fresh spring water and are not heated.
CAN WE FISH?
You can fish on the lower parts of our property where the springs drain into Little Cypress Creek, which drains into Lake Travis. No fishing in the pools.
DO YOU RENT TUBES? CAN WE BRING KAYAKS AND/OR BIKES?
No, we do not rent tubes. We recommend bringing your own tube or other floatation device. We have an air pump you can use to inflate your float.
You can bring small kayaks for the lower natural pool, it may be hard to maneuver larger ones during busy summer weekends. You can also bring a bike, but we do not have any formal bike trails nor paved roads on our property.
CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE LARGE GROUPS?
Absolutely! If you have a large group or Organization (Boy Scouts, Church Groups, etc.) coming to the Springs, please give our office a call before coming, at (830) 693-4181. We also have a large pavilion that can be rented out for any special event.
CAN I HAVE AN EVENT OR WEDDING AT KRAUSE SPRINGS?
We have had numerous weddings and events here and would love for you to tie the knot or host your next event at Krause Springs! We have a pavilion that can be reserved and is capable of holding up to 100-150 people (depending on setup). We also have a Bridal Room that can be reserved. You can choose where you want to have your ceremony, or event activities as long as it does not interfere with our day guests.
Pricing is based on current ‘day guest’ admission prices per person. The pavilion is $300 for the entire day, Bridal Room is $150 (must be cleaned up by 9pm). You will be responsible for bringing and setting up everything, as we do not provide anything but the setting. We recommend getting in touch with vendors for tables & chairs, catering/food, flowers, DJ/music & speakers (music must be turned down by 9pm and off by 10pm).
There is a $100 deposit (refundable within 2-weeks), plus the price of the pavilion and/or bridal room, which will be due upon reservation. Please call our office at (830) 693-4181, to check availability and to book your next event at Krause Springs.
For lodging, you can reserve an RV site, or camp on our property. Camping rates will apply for all guests in your party who want to stay overnight, instead of the day rates. As an option, you can pay for your guests at day admission prices and they can pay the difference if they want to stay and camp. Alternatively, you can stay in nearby Marble Falls
